This Upper East Side bathroom renovation on East 72nd Street transformed a dated Manhattan apartment bathroom into a clean, modern, spa-inspired space. Designed and built by NYKB, the project combines stone-look porcelain tile with bold contemporary cabinetry for a timeless yet practical result.

Large format stone look wall tiles extend through the shower enclosure, creating visual continuity and minimizing grout lines. The bathroom floor features a herringbone-patterned mosaic that adds subtle movement and texture. A frameless glass shower enclosure keeps the layout open and architectural.

To introduce contrast, we installed a custom floating vanity in a matte black finish with integrated storage and a streamlined countertop. Vertical pendant lighting flanking the mirror provides balanced illumination while maintaining a sleek, modern profile.

From a general contracting perspective, this was a full gut bathroom renovation in a Manhattan apartment. The scope included complete demolition, new waterproofing system installation, plumbing updates, electrical upgrades, custom millwork fabrication, tile installation, and glass enclosure installation, all executed in compliance with NYC building standards.
