4 Top New Bathroom Trends for 2019

Our design experts here at NYKB have combined a list of bathroom trends for 2019 – specifically those that will dominate in the Manhattan area. Below are some looks to consider while you start to plan for your 2019 bathroom renovation here in NYC.

STATEMENT WALLS IN POWDER ROOMS
Add some excitement in a small space! Break up the traditional look of having four walls that are all painted the same color. Play around with color or texture in a new way, give this small room in your home a chance to shine with an accent wall. A statement wall will draw your eye to a particular part of the room – making it the talk of your next cocktail party.

SPA-LIKE DESIGNS
Spa inspired master bathrooms are all the rage. From dressing room entryways to deep soaking tubs, turn your master bathroom into your exclusive luxurious spa retreat. Start with beige limestone, a glass walk-in shower and a spacious two-person bathtub.

Simple white fixtures, floating cabinet and double vanity will make this space not only relaxing and convenient but also a functional space for everyday use.

CONCRETE
Concrete is modern, beautiful, durable and water resistant. Concreate is a great choice for your bathroom! This look will quickly bring your bathroom from “dated” to “modern”. Concrete is not only a floor option but can be used for; countertops, sinks, bathtubs, even your walls. To be clear, we don’t recommend renovating an entire bathroom in concrete; choose one to two items on your list of materials as an accent.

MINIMAL MINDFULNESS
A sleek and simple bathroom can be aesthetically pleasing without sacrificing functionality. We recommend to look east – a Japanese inspired look. Keep your bathroom selections simple yet sleek, and your color palette to natural earth tones.

As always we would love to hear from you! Share your tips and photos in the comments below. If you have any questions about your next bathroom renovation, please free to email us at info@nykb.com or better yet give us a call at 212-242-3500. As always we encourage you to visit our showroom in the Flat Iron District, our address is 8 W25th St. New York, NY 10010; there you will find a variety of different kitchen and baths set up for your inspiration.

The goal of renovation and remodeling is to ensure satisfaction upon completion of your project. Construction can be very frustrating, and without a professional contractor, things can go wrong.
